When are you open?
Depending on river and weather conditions, we are open 7 days a week from mid-April through mid-October. Hours are 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. midweek, and 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. on weekends. Our hours do vary throughout the seasons and may change do to weather conditions.

Are reservations necessary?
Reservations are not mandatory, however many weekends are booked solid. It is good to have a reservation because it is $2.00 cheaper and you will not be left empty handed if we run out of equipment.
How do I make a reservation?
Call 1-800-487-2628 between the hours of 9 A.M. and 6 P.M. any day of the week. A credit card number will hold your reservation. DON'T WAIT! Good weather conditions may cause us to book up early.
What about cancellations?
Cancellations are accepted without penalty up until 48 hours before your trip. After that there are no refunds. In case of rain (at our location) your deposit will be refunded or you can reschedule. Once you are on the river there are no refunds.
What about rain?
Many people go rain or shine. Believe it or not, there's a real beauty to the river with the rain drops bouncing on the surface and the fog or mist hanging in the river valley. Also, wildlife sightings are more plentiful.
Can I picnic along the river?
By all means! The river is a National Recreation Area. There are beautiful islands, as well as shoreline spots, with sandy beaches great for a picnic. Also, some toilet facilities are available along the way. We provide trash bags and require that all of your trash be carried with you to the finish. PLEASE DON'T LITTER!
What to bring?
Appropriate clothing for the weather - dry change of clothes - sneakers or river shoes-sun protection - hat - bathing suit & towel - packed lunch or buy it here. OPTIONAL ITEMS such as cameras - binoculars - diving mask & fins are great to have but are not necessary.
Are alcoholic beverages permitted?
Alcoholic beverages are permitted, but NO GLASS CONTAINERS. Alcohol consumption is a common sense issue, use common sense and you will have no problems. As a rule of thumb we suggest no more than three 12 oz. Cans of beer per person per day. (21 years and older) No hard liquor! If you appear intoxicated, you are subject to arrest and removal from the river by the National Park Rangers.
Do I need a guide or experience?
Absolutely not. Everyone gets pre-trip instructions, a river map, and orientation. It is almost impossible to get lost. Just go with the flow! You must be able to swim.
What is provided?
Rates include canoes, rafts or kayaks paddles, life jackets (which must be worn) orientation, shuttle transportation for people, luggage, and boats.
Are children permitted?
People of any age (over 2) can enjoy a river trip, however, everyone must be able to swim.
Is fishing allowed?
You bet, but if you are 16 years or older, you must have either a PA or NJ fishing license.
